Skin Cancer

Dr. Andrea Copeland · MD, FRCSCBook a Consultation
( 01 )Overview

Treating skin cancer has two goals that matter equally: removing the cancer completely, and reconstructing the area so life goes on with confidence.

Dr. Copeland completed fellowship training in skin cancer reconstruction. She surgically treats basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma, and reconstructs the defects that cancer removal leaves behind, including delicate areas of the face, with techniques chosen to protect both function and appearance.

Common Questions

How quickly will I be seen?
Referrals involving a confirmed or suspected skin cancer are prioritized. Contact the office, or have your doctor send a referral, and you will be guided on timing.
Will the reconstruction be visible?
Every reconstruction leaves some mark, but techniques are chosen specifically to hide incisions in natural lines and shadows of the face and body. The goal is a result that others simply don't notice.
Is this covered by OHIP?
Yes. Surgical treatment of skin cancer and the reconstruction that follows are covered by OHIP.
