Common Questions
How do I choose the right size or shape?
This is decided together, at your consultation. Dr. Copeland will examine your anatomy, discuss what look you are hoping for, and explain what is achievable and proportionate for your frame, including sizing tools and photos where helpful.
Is breast reduction covered by OHIP?
A breast reduction may be partially or fully covered by OHIP depending on what surgery is recommended. This will be reviewed during your consultation.
How much time should I take off work?
This is very personal and depends on your procedure and the kind of work you do. Most patients take about one month off. If you work in an office or from home, you may be able to return sooner. If your job is more physical, you will likely need more than a month. Dr. Copeland will help you plan this at your consultation.
What is recovery like?
Most patients are up and moving the same day, back to desk work within one to two weeks, and back to full activity within about six weeks. You will receive a clear, personalized recovery plan.
