Lumps and Bumps

Dr. Andrea Copeland · MD, FRCSCBook a Consultation
( 01 )Overview

Small procedures deserve the same care as major ones. When a plastic surgeon removes a cyst, mole, or lipoma, the difference shows in how it heals.

Lumps, bumps, and skin lesions are common, and most can be removed quickly and comfortably under local anesthetic. Dr. Copeland brings a plastic surgeon's attention to tissue handling and closure technique, so the result is not just removal, but the finest scar the situation allows.

( 03 )Questions

Common Questions

Will it leave a scar?
Any incision leaves some mark, but a plastic surgeon's techniques, such as fine sutures, tension-free closure, and incisions placed along natural skin lines, are designed to make it as faint as possible. Scars continue to fade for a year or more.
Is removal covered by OHIP?
The removal of benign lumps and bumps is generally not covered by OHIP.
How quickly can I be seen?
Minor procedures are typically scheduled promptly. Contact the office and they will guide you through the next available options.
